SideCar-Garden Metaphor Episode

I thought I’d show you just how bad the bindweed has gotten in just two years–So the first pictures are from 2020 when I was planting my little English Cottage garden of zinnias and snapdragons and other cutting flowers, and then from yesterday before I tore out all the bindweed, and then with most of it gone.

Two years ago.
Two years ago (early spring)
Two years ago midsomer, plus Barny in the window!
Drift roses from Ben (you can see, right in the middle of the bottom of the picture, a little bit of that beach sweet pea sneaking in)
Here’s what that same front of the house looked like on Friday. 😕
Bindweed is on insidious. I hate it. If I thought I could kill it with fire without burning down the house, I would.

But I got out there and I ripped it all out. You can hardly see the actual plants back there because they were so covered up.
the pile of bindweed and sweet pea was almost 5 ft tall.
We’ll celebrate with cake once I finish cleaning up out there.
16 years!
