Pastry Wrapped Olives

1 Jar Spanish Olives, rinsed and dried.

1 c. flour

1/8 tsp. salt

black pepper

cayenne pepper

1 cup sharp grated cheddar

8 tbs. unsalted butter

Soften butter and cheddar cheese. Cream together until well mixed. 

Add flour and other dry ingredients. 

Refrigerate for 1 hour or until well chilled. This is a good time to rinse and dry the olives. Use a teaspoon to scoop out dough, flatten and wrap around olive. 

Bake in 475 oven for 8 minutes. Serve warm, not hot. 

 The dough freezes well for those emergency parties.
